Cold Start. Can two Land Rover Defenders tow a truck?

Anonim

Now available in Portugal, the new Land Rover Defender had the opportunity to reveal his towing capabilities at a pre-launch event in the Namib Desert, Namibia.

It all happened when two Land Rover Defenders (a D240 SE and a P400 S) driven by a film crew of the British brand came across a truck stuck in the middle of the desert.

Isolated for three days, the truck's driver asked them to try to rescue him and the team did not respond. Using ropes and the robust towing hooks that Defenders rely on, the team decided to put the announced 3500 kg of towing capacity to the test and tried to pull a truck weighing… 20 tonnes.
