After the XE SV Project 8, Jaguar reinforced its “taxi fleet” in Inferno Verde and the chosen model was the multi-award winning I-Pace.
Aimed at visitors to the Nürburgring Nordschleife with greater environmental concerns (or just those who want to feel the accelerating power of an electric on a circuit), the I-Pace thus becomes the first Race eTAXI available on the German circuit.
As with the XE SV Project 8 which has been doing “taxi service” for some time on the Nürburgring, the I-Pace will also have a professional driver at its command. Despite the arrival of the electric SUV to the fleet, there is no indication that Jaguar plans to overhaul the XE SV Project 8 and its substantial 5.0 l, 600 hp V8 Supercharged.
Jaguar I-Pace numbers
Obviously, to take a taxi service on the demanding German circuit, a specific set of qualities is needed, and the truth is that I-Pace has them all.

First you need power, something that 400 hp and 696 Nm of torque Jaguar I-Pace come to prove that there is plenty. Then you need good levels of performance, and in this case, 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8s and 200 km/h seem like a good calling card.
Finally, you need to have good dynamic capabilities, something that Fernando confirmed when he tested the British SUV that has a 90 kWh battery that offers 470 km (this is already in accordance with the WLTP cycle).
