The Range Rover's 50 years are celebrated like this

It may not seem like it, but the Range Rover The original came about 50 years ago and, as might be expected, Land Rover did not let the occasion pass by.

Now, to celebrate half a century of existence of one of the pioneers among luxury SUVs (along with the Jeep Grand Wagoneer) Land Rover decided to team up with the renowned snow artist Simon Beck.

It took advantage of the frozen lake at the Land Rover facility in Arjeplog, Sweden, to create a work of art designed to commemorate the Range Rover's jubilee.

The great highlight of the artwork is the special anniversary logo. Measuring 53,092 m2, it was created from the trail of more than 45,000 footprints left by Simon Beck while being accompanied by four Range Rover SV models.

In addition to artist Simon Beck, heavyweight boxing world champion Anthony Joshua was also present at this celebration.

Throughout the event, Anthony Joshua was not only able to learn to drive on ice, he also tested four more special Range Rovers developed by the Land Rover SV division.

These consisted of a Range Rover SVAutobiography (with a longer wheelbase); in a Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic (which has a V8 with 565 hp); a Range Rover Sport SVR (the fastest Range Rover ever) and a Range Rover Velar SVA Dynamic.
