Cold Start. Now Ford Ranger Raptor also has a version for the tracks

Anonim

After Mitsubishi Indonesia turned a minivan (the Mitsubishi Xpander AP4) into a rally car, Ford Thailand Racing turned what appears to be a Ford Ranger Raptor in a model intended for the slopes.

We say “seems to be” because looking at it and its specs (engine and case, for example), it doesn't appear to be based on the Ranger Raptor we know.

Designated as Ford Ranger Raptor Race Truck, this was developed with the Super Pickup category of the Thailand Super Series (a regional championship) in mind, where other pick-ups such as the Isuzu D-Max or Toyota Hilux are present.

This Ford Ranger Raptor “slim” is equipped with a more muscular version of the Duratorq, the 3.2 l Turbo Diesel inline five cylinders, but its power is anybody's guess. The gearbox, on the other hand, is the one that equips the production Rangers, that is, a six-speed manual transmission.
