Among the various controversies surrounding the new Toyota GR Supra , the lack of a manual gearbox is one of them. Toyota has already gone public with saying that, if there is enough demand, it is not at all unlikely that a Supra with a manual transmission might not emerge in the future.

Well, the curiously called European Auto Group (EAG), a preparer based in Texas, in the United States of America, anticipated the hypothetical official moves. Not only are they already in the process of converting the first Toyota GR Supra to use a manual gearbox, they are already accepting deposits for further conversions.

EAG is no stranger to these types of conversions — they became known for converting a Ferrari 430 Scuderia and are currently working on converting a Ferrari 458 Speciale… little.

Returning to the Toyota GR Supra, the conversion will naturally use original BMW parts, also ensuring the best compatibility between the B58, its engine, and the manual gearbox.

The price of turning the new Supra into a sports car with an extra layer of interaction doesn't come cheap. EAG charges around $12,000 for the conversion (approx. 10,700 euros), and we can make a reservation for 6000 dollars (approx. 5350 euros). It takes 30 to 45 days to complete the job and the car has to be sent to the EAG facility.

In addition to winning a new manual gearbox, EAG includes in the cost of the conversion an increase in power for the six-cylinder in-line, for values around 420-430 hp, thanks to a partnership formed with ProTuning Freaks, a preparer Canadian specialist in… BMW.
