Little by little, Mercedes-Benz is revealing what its plans are for next year. Among the arrival on the market of models already presented, such as the EQC, the GLE or the Class B, new models and facelifts the German brand is preparing 10 new products for 2019.
The biggest news of the revealed calendar goes, without a doubt, to the new CLA Shooting Brake . Yes, it's true that we told you that the CLA van would not have a successor but Mercedes-Benz changed the laps for us and will add CLA Shooting Brake to the launch of the new CLA, both of which will arrive next year, with the van. already caught up in tests.
Novelty are also the GLC and GLC Coupé , which in 2019 will undergo the typical middle-age restyling (probably still in the first half of the year). The biggest SUV of the brand, the GLS should arrive sometime later to face the newly introduced BMW X7.
What is the 8th compact?
But of all models with launch or presentation scheduled for next year, the one that raises the most doubts is the one that appears on the calendar as “8th compact”. Most likely it will be the GLB , a squarer looking crossover (do you still remember the GLK?) based on the A-Class and that will try to capitalize on the G-Class's “tough” visual success in a more accessible segment.
In addition to the new crossover, the launch of the V-Class is also planned, but the most likely is that instead of a new generation it will be just a facelift, since the current generation has only been on the market for four years.

When looking at the calendar revealed by Mercedes-Benz, something else comes into view: the absence of the GLA . This means that to know the crossover we will have to wait until 2020, and Top Gear magazine indicates that it is even possible to return to the plan of a GLA Coupé, to face the BMW X2.
Also highlighted in the calendar of plans of the German brand for the launch of the eSprinter and an upgrade of Smart at the end of next year — ok, we admit that the 10th novelty is not a Mercedes-Benz.
