Mercedes-Benz T-Class. The Citan passenger version is coming

As with the Vito and the V-Class, the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz Citan will also see the passenger variant take on another identity, being renamed Mercedes-Benz T-Class.

Scheduled for arrival in 2022, the new T-Class will thus be the most “civilized” and leisure-oriented variant of the second generation of the smallest Mercedes-Benz van.

As is currently the case, the new generation of Mercedes-Benz Citan (and therefore the new T-Class) will be developed together with Renault, using the base used by the new generation of the successful Kangoo.

Naturally Mercedes-Benz

It may not seem like it, but the choice of the letter “T” to designate this new “Class” of Mercedes-Benz was not innocent. According to the German brand, this letter usually designates concepts of efficient use of space and therefore “it is perfectly suitable as a designation for this model”.

Another of the promises made by the Stuttgart brand is that the new T-Class will be easily recognized as a member of the Mercedes-Benz model family, with the typical characteristics of the brand.
