End of the line. Mercedes-Benz will no longer produce the X-Class

The possibility of a Mercedes-Benz X-Class disappear from the offer of the German brand and, apparently, the rumors that gave an account of this possibility were well founded.

According to the Germans from Auto Motor und Sport, starting in May, Mercedes-Benz will stop producing the X-Class, putting an end to a commercial career that lasted about three years.

The decision to stop producing the Mercedes-Benz X-Class came, according to Auto Motor und Sport, after the Stuttgart brand reassessed its model portfolio and verified that the X-Class is “a niche model” which is quite successful only in markets like “Australia and South Africa”.

As early as 2019, Mercedes-Benz had backed off its intentions to produce the X-Class in Argentina. At the time, the justification given was the fact that the price of Class X did not meet the expectations of the South American markets.
