With the incredible number of 15 teams fighting for titles in the two categories, PRO and AM, the final journey of the third season of the C1 Learn & Drive Trophy did not disappoint.

Played at the Vasco Sameiro Circuit, in Braga, the last race of the season was marked by high competitiveness, something that is well attested by the eight teams that climbed to the highest place on the podium.

To discover the champions of the PRO and AM categories, the C1 Trophy innovated in the format on the Braga circuit. For the first time in three years of existence, the competition organized by Motor Sponsor featured a series of sprint races.

C1 Trophy

In total, the 25 Citroën C1 that entered the track (among which was the C1 of Razão Automóvel) competed in six races lasting 50 minutes each. These were played solo (without changing drivers during each race), and the combined results of the teams dictated the winners.

It was a fantastic weekend, with very close races and several teams to win. We risked debuting a format of 6 sprint races, lasting 50 minutes, in a journey in which the titles were decided. We know that innovation is the watchword in motor sport and that is what we did once again. In the end, satisfaction was general and this is undoubtedly the best way to end an era where the competition factor was always present.

the big winners

Leader of the PRO category upon arrival in Braga, the VLB Racing team left the Vasco Sameiro Circuit with the title of champion. For that, the victories obtained in the first four races were crucial and allowed the team to adopt a management rhythm in the last two races and thus win the journey.

In second place in the final classification of the Trophy C1 in the PRO category went to Termolan, which had already distinguished itself for the second place achieved in Portimão, while the third place went to Artlaser by Gianfranco, who won the first race of the season, also disputed in Braga .

When we set out to make this trophy it was with the intention of winning. In the first two years we weren't very lucky, but in the third year it was for good. We did everything to have a season at the highest level, with no surprises, and we ended the year in the best possible way.

Luís Delgado, responsible for VLB Racing.

In the AM category, the six races held in Braga had five different winners: LJ Sport 88 with two victories, OF Motorsport, G’s Competizione, Five Team and Casa da Eira.

C1 Learn & Drive Trophy

As for the overall victory in the category, this belonged to the Torres Racing Team which, throughout the season, added a victory, a fourth and a fifth place. As runner-up in the AM category, and just four points away, was the Razão Automóvel team, having come to lead the AM category after winning the opening round in Braga. The podium was closed by LJ Sport 88.

We are very happy because this was a great achievement for us. We are four friends, all amateurs, who got together last year to compete for the trophy and the result of all the work couldn't be better.

Nuno Torres, responsible for the Torres Racing Team

a bet to keep

Despite the «sour and sweet taste» of the vice-championship, the Razão Automóvel team is already looking to the future. After all, this is the team's third year in the C1 Learn & Drive Trophy and the evolution is undeniable, as evidenced by the results obtained.

This was also the second year of the C1 Academy, a fundraising model unique in our country, which allows you to go through the experience of being a pilot, even if you don't have experience as such. In view of all this, the prospects for the future are, to say the least, promising.
