The renewed version of the Lancia Delta HF Turbo Integrale marks the return of the historic Italian brand.

FCA today announced the long-awaited return of Lancia, following the latest restructuring in the group. According to Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, this decision is the result of the positive results in 2015, with net revenue of over 113 billion euros, which represents a growth of 18%.

Thus, the historic Turin brand will make a big comeback with the production of the new Lancia Delta HF Turbo Integrale. The new model pays homage – in grand style, we would say – to the iconic Italian model from the 1980s and 1990s, whose World Rally Championship records speak for themselves.

Little is known about the specifications, but everything indicates that the compact sports car will integrate a variant of the 1.75 liter gasoline engine with 327hp of the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta, presented at the last Geneva Motor Show. Production of the Lancia Delta HF Turbo Integrale is due to begin later this year and will be limited to 5000 units.

And by the way, happy April Fools' Day ?
