This is the interior of Skoda Kamiq. Where have we seen it?

Anonim

After revealing two teasers and two sketches of its new SUV, Skoda discovers the interior of the new Skoda Kamiq . And the truth is that if we hadn't had confirmation from the brand that this is the interior of the Kamiq, we could have sworn that Skoda was wrong and had shared images of the interior of… Scala.

According to the Czech brand, the Kamiq is the second model to use the new interior design concept made known in the Vision RS prototype and if this is true (the similarities are there), it is no less correct to say that the design adopted inside the new Czech SUV is exactly the same as the Skoda Scala.

Is that, with the exception of the trim and the steering wheel (in the images of the interior of the Scala it has a scalloped base), everything else is the same. As with the Scala, the Kamiq will be able to count on a virtual cockpit, in addition to a touchscreen in the center console that allowed Skoda to give up a series of physical controls.

Skoda Scala

Looks like the inside of Kamiq, doesn't it? But it's not, it's Scala's, can you spot the differences?

Space will not be lacking

As you know, the Skoda Kamiq will use the MQB A0 platform already used, among others, by Volkswagen T-Cross, SEAT Arona and… Skoda Scala. Thanks to the adoption of this platform, Skoda announces that the Kamiq will have a wheelbase of 2.65 m and a luggage compartment with a capacity of 400 l.

Skoda has not yet revealed official images of the Kamiq but these sketches already give you an idea of the shapes of the new Czech SUV.

For now, Skoda has not yet revealed which engines the Kamiq will be equipped with, however, it is expected that the smallest SUV of the Czech brand will use the already known 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI in addition to the 1.6 TDI .
