SEAT Arona FR on video. Is an SUV the best option?

Anonim

Is an SUV the right choice in this segment? That's what Diogo tries to find out in our latest video test. What model tested? THE SEAT Arona FR 1.5 TSI Evo.

There are 150 hp of power associated with a six-speed manual gearbox, with the particularity of this engine having cylinder deactivation , “switching off” two cylinders on certain occasions, which saves fuel.

The 150 hp doesn't turn the Arona into a Hot SUV, but it's master of respectful performances, as we can see by the 8.2s in acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, or by the more than 200 km of maximum speed.

In addition to the mechanical arguments, Diogo leads us to discover one of the main qualities of the SEAT Arona FR: the available space. Despite its contained exterior dimensions, the Arona offers plenty of interior space for both occupants and luggage — there are 400 l of capacity.

Its versatility is also one of its strengths, with the luggage compartment allowing the floor to be placed at two heights; or the height added to the ground giving freedom in choosing routes not possible with the Ibiza, despite the 18″ wheels — the biggest you can have on the Arona — maybe not the best option when you want to leave the tarmac.
