As revealed by the director of Product Planning for Europe, David Labrosse, in statements to AutoRAI, it should only arrive with the five-door bodywork — the Kia Ceed will also not have a three-door variant.
As for the engine, the choice should fall on a 1.6 l gasoline turbo with basically the same potency as the previous one, that is, 204 hp . The work of Kia engineers has mainly been aimed at improving efficiency, reducing consumption and emissions, in a block whose torque should remain basically the same — 265 Nm.

As for the possibility of an even more powerful version of the Ceed GT emerging — an equivalent to the Hyundai i30 N, perhaps? — David Labrosse rejected such a scenario, arguing that there are not enough interested parties to justify its production.
The future Kia Ceed GT, now without the weird apostrophe, should be officially unveiled in March of next year, during the Geneva Motor Show, following, shortly thereafter, the entry into commercialization.
