The SEAT Tarraco is an SUV with 5 to 7 seats, which will join Arona and Ateca, completing the SUV family of the Spanish brand. It measures 4733 mm in length and is 1658 mm in height.

It is based on the MBQ-A platform, the Volkswagen group's platform for large SUVs. The SEAT Tarraco is developed and designed in Spain, at the SEAT factory in Martorell, and built in Wolfsburg, Germany.

What are the engines?

All engines are supercharged and have start-stop technology, with power available between 150 hp and 190 hp.

Two gasoline engines: a 1.5 l four-cylinder TSI that produces 150 hp and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive, and a 2.0 l, 190 hp and seven-speed DSG gearbox with 4Drive all-wheel drive system.

There are two diesel options , both with 2.0 TDI, and powers of 150 hp and 190 hp, respectively. The 150 hp version can be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive, or a seven-speed DSG gearbox with 4Drive all-wheel drive system.

The more powerful variant, with 190 hp, is only available with the 4Drive/seven-speed DSG gearbox combination.

SEAT Tarraco will receive, later on, propulsion systems with alternative technology.

And the equipment?

Two levels of equipment are available at launch: Style and Xcellence . As standard, the SEAT Tarraco has full LED headlights. Eight exterior colors will be available: Dark Camouflage, Oryx White, Reflex Silver, Atlantic Blue, Indium Grey, Titanium Beige, Deep Black and Grey.

Between January and August, SEAT delivered 383,900 vehicles around the world, a growth of 21.9% compared to the same period in 2017. The brand's turnover exceeded 9,500 million euros in 2017 and profit after that. of taxes, was 281 million euros.

SEAT has placed in Tarraco all the latest-generation driving assistance systems at its disposal. These systems include the well-known Lane Assist (Lane Maintenance) and Front Assist (City Brake Assist) with bicycle and pedestrian recognition, which will be supplied as standard in Europe.

Blind Spot Detection, Sign Recognition, Traffic Jam Assist, ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), Light Assist and Emergency Assist will be available in option. SEAT Tarraco also has an Emergency Call, Pre-Collision Assistant and Rollover Detector.

When arrives?

Sales of the SEAT Tarraco start in December, the model arrives on the Portuguese market at the end of February 2019. Prices are not yet known.
