Unveiled at the end of last year, it's time for the new BMW 5 Series to undergo safety tests by Euro NCAP, an independent organization responsible for evaluating the safety of new models on the European market.

The German saloon – which in this generation debuted a new platform – achieved good performance in all four categories under analysis (adults, children, pedestrians and safety assistance). The automatic braking system contributed to the maximum classification, which proved to be effective in preventing collisions even without the intervention of the driver, and the system for raising the bonnet in the event of a collision.
