The new Volvo XC90 has been named the safest car in its segment by Euro NCAP. Find out here what the categories were.
The Swedish SUV has just outpaced its direct competitors – Audi Q7, BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne, in the large SUV and overall performance categories. The Volvo XC90 got top marks for its Safety Assist system, having been rated at 97% for adult occupant protection.“We are always happy to receive more recognition for the work we do. The XC90 embodies everything Volvo Cars stands for, and this is further proof of our continued leadership in the field of both safety systems – active and passive. Our intention is that by 2020, no one will be killed or seriously injured in a Volvo car.
