Jaguar XE and XF models achieved the highest rating in European active and passive safety tests.
The two models achieved high ratings in all categories – adults, children, pedestrians and safety assistance – and are among the most valued in their respective segments. The British brand's latest saloons also benefit from a range of active safety systems, which include Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control, in addition to the Autonomous Emergency Braking System (AEB), which uses a stereo camera to detect objects that could pose a threat of collision and, if justified, is able to automatically apply the brakes.

According to Jaguar model manager Kevin Stride, in the XE and XF design process “safety was as important an element as dynamics, performance, refinement and efficiency”.
Both models use a lightweight, robust aluminum architecture that protects occupants in the event of an accident, reinforced by front, side and curtain airbags. In the event of a collision with a pedestrian, the hood actuation system helps to reduce the severity of injuries.
