A recent study concluded that Honda, Lexus and Toyota are the most reliable brands in the Spanish market.
There is no doubt that reliability is one of the most important factors when purchasing a vehicle. That's why the Organización de Consumidores y Usuarios (OCU), a Spanish association that protects consumer rights, has prepared a study to determine which manufacturers consumers trust most. More than 30,000 Spanish drivers were surveyed and more than 70,000 reports were generated on the negative and positive points of each model. The study concludes that Honda, Lexus and Toyota are considered by users as the most reliable brands; on the other hand, Alfa Romeo, Dodge and SsangYong are the brands that drivers trust least. In the top 10 there are only 3 European brands (BMW, Audi and Dacia), although in some cases the most reliable models in the segment belong to brands from the old continent – see below.

In concrete terms, dividing the results by segments, there are models that are a surprise and others that are not so much. This is the case of the Honda Jazz, which is a model with a regular presence in these rankings as the most reliable vehicle (version 1.2 liters from 2008), in a sample of 433 models.
In saloons, the references are the Seat Exeo 2.0 TDI, Honda Insight 1.3 Hybrid and the Toyota Prius 1.8 Hybrid, while in the MPVs, the chosen ones were the Renault Scenic 1.6 dCI and the Toyota Verso 2.0 D. In the small family segment, the chosen one it was the Ford Focus 1.6 TdCI, while in SUV's, the Volvo XC60 D4 was considered the most reliable.
