The reinvention capacity of the small and iconographic English car seems to have no limits.
Strong image and owning recognized qualities at all levels was the success formula that BMW found for its Mini subsidiary. A formula so successful that the German brand has insisted on replicating it, over and over again!
This new version of the Mini comes to us in the form of an SUV-Coupé, inspired by the already known and marketed Mini Countryman, but this time with hints of the coupé bodywork grafted on to a “jeep”. A recipe that was discovered by the Munich brand when the X6 was launched and that is now copied to the kid reguila from BMW: The Mini.
After many advances and setbacks the child was finally given a name. It will be called Mini Paceman, and of course, it will certainly obey all of the brand's scrolls with regard to dynamic capabilities. To our great regret, we have announced that the willful 1.6 turbo engine that powers the Cooper S JCW versions will not be available in the Paceman range before 2014.
The official presentation of the model is scheduled for September at the International Salon in Paris. Marketing will start in Europe in January 2013.
