BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo with Vitamin M Performance

It was just over three weeks ago that BMW unveiled the new 6 Series Gran Turismo, a model that succeeds the 5 Series GT as the Bavarian brand's grand tourer. In addition to being more modern and spacious, the new model is more powerful than its predecessor – 340 hp and 450 Nm in the 640i version. The M Performance division took care of the rest.

The department responsible for sporting variants of BMW production models has prepared a package of visual modifications (and not only) for the BMW 6 Series GT.

At the front, BMW's customary double kidney grille has been contoured in black, while 21-inch alloy wheels are now available in two tones. In addition, the Series 6 Gran Turismo gained a strip in dark tones, flanks, and carbon fiber mirror covers.

Available for the 630i and 640i xDrive models, the new stainless steel exhaust system includes a silencer – so you don't scare your neighbors… – and carbon fiber vents (round or trapezoidal). The braking system features ventilated discs and four-piston brake calipers.

While it hasn't revealed any interior pictures, BMW says the Gran Turismo 6 Series can be fitted with Alcantara leather upholstery, floor mats bearing M Performance lettering and a sportier steering wheel with Nappa trim.

The launch of BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo – now available with the M Performance package – is planned for November, after the presentation at the Frankfurt Motor Show two months earlier.
