Ferrari 812 Superfast. The last atmospheric of Maranello?

It was with great enthusiasm that Ferrari presented its most powerful series model ever , dubbed the Ferrari 812 Superfast.

This “rampant horse” is the successor of the well-known Ferrari F12 and is based on a revised and improved version of the latter's platform, not least because the major changes were reserved for the power unit.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast uses a naturally aspirated V12 block, now with 6.5 liters of capacity. in total are 800 hp at 8500 rpm and 718 Nm at 7,000 rpm, with 80% of that value available right at 3500 rpm! Numbers that surpass by a comfortable margin the values of F12 tdf.

It is thanks to these numbers that Ferrari considers the new 812 Superfast as its “ most powerful and fastest production model ever ”, since the Italian brand considers the LaFerrari a limited edition.

The transmission is carried out exclusively to the rear wheels, through a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox. The performances announced are equivalent to those of the F12 tdf, despite the 110 kg more than the 812 Superfast – the advertised dry weight is 1525 kg.

“The 0 to 100 km/h are dispatched in just 2.9 seconds and the advertised top speed is over 340 km/h.”

The Ferrari 812 Superfast will also be the brand's first model to debut electrically-assisted steering. It was developed to work in conjunction with the Slide Slip Control, a system that accentuates the car's agility, providing greater longitudinal acceleration when exiting corners.

Visually, the 812 Superfast stands apart from its predecessor thanks to its more aggressive design, where the flanks are distinctly sculpted. We also highlight the definitive return to the four rear optics, as in the GTC4 Lusso. Despite all these changes, the final style of the model maintains the dynamism of its predecessor.
