Rolls-Royce Ghost by Spofec. Tuning "like a sir"

Anonim

We've already seen preparations on Rolls-Royce models that tend to fall into… flashy (being nice), but this is carried on by Spofec to the ghost seems to be more of a containment exercise.

If you've never heard of Spofec, it's a German preparer, created by the well-known Novitec to dedicate itself exclusively to Rolls-Royce models. Even the name is a reference to the luxury brand: “Sp” “of” “ec” comes from “Spirit of Ecstasy”, the name given to the figure that adorns the hoods of Rolls-Royce.

Unlike other preparations, Spofec's intervention on Ghost accentuates its sportiness in the most discreet way possible.

We've got new front and rear bumpers and side skirts, and we don't even lack a rear spoiler. But their integration is so achieved that we could almost say that they were standard. The element that stands out the most turns out to be the front mudguard that gains a recess behind the wheel.

To complete the set we have new 22″ forged wheels (one inch more than the standard), named SP2 and developed in conjunction with Vosser.

Also the stance (stance) of the Rolls-Royce Ghost is better achieved, not only due to the larger wheels (265/35 ZR 22 at the front and 295/30 ZR 22 at the rear), but also the spacers it is equipped with, placing the wheels furthest from the body.

Spofec also offers a specific module for the Ghost's air suspension (Spofec Can-Tronic) which is able to reduce the Ghost's ground clearance up to 40 mm at speeds of up to 140 km/h.

The interior can also be customized to the customer's taste, if he or she has purchased a second-hand Ghost and does not have access to the numerous customization possibilities offered by Rolls-Royce.

More "lung"

Spofec's Ghost doesn't stop at appearances. The 6.75 l twin-turbo V12 is graced with an expressive increase in power and torque, having now, respectively, 685 hp and 985 Nm, much more than the “adequate” (as Rolls-Royce would say) 571 hp and 850 Nm of the model. series. The V12's sound can also be enriched with the addition of a new stainless steel exhaust with active valves.

The 100 km/h is now reached in 4.5s, 0.3s less than the standard model, while the top speed remains limited to 250 km/h. It doesn't seem like a massive improvement, but what did you expect? He is still an aristocratic Rolls-Royce, the ultimate expression of luxury on wheels.

How much does this little extravagance cost over the extravagance that is a Rolls-Royce Ghost? Spofec does not advance with values, but Ghost has prices starting at 344,000 euros.
