The Japanese brand announced that the Nissan Qashqai is Nissan's most produced model ever (in Europe) in the last 30 years.

Every day, 1200 models of the second generation of the Nissan Qashqai are produced, which is equivalent to 58 units per hour. According to Nissan, the Qashqai is not only the Japanese brand's best-selling model, it is also the best-selling crossover in Europe. Furthermore, no model from any other brand has surpassed the two million units produced in such a short time.

According to Colin Lawther, brand executive, "The Qashqai created a whole new automotive segment when it first appeared and continues to set the standard for the segment."
In addition to the Nissan Qashqai, the Sunderland plant also produces the Juke, LEAF, Note and the premium Infiniti Q30.
