The arrival of the new generation of the Nissan Qashqai is coming very soon and its world presentation will take place on the 7th of November.
The Japanese brand released an image of the new Nissan Qashqai as a preview, but it is not possible to see much of this image. You can clearly see a Nissan Qashqai with lines much more pronounced than the first generation but not much more than that. When comparing this image with the images of the new Nissan X-Trail (image below) we notice the several similarities between the two models, namely in the area of the headlights.
Through a statement, Nissan claims that the second generation of the Qashqai was “ reinvented from scratch ” and will come with an “advanced aerodynamics and state-of-the-art infotainment system”.
Details are scarce, but it is suspected that the new Qashqai will not be offered in the “+2” (seven seats) version, as that task will already be assigned to the Nissan X-Trail.
As for the engines, it is to be expected the continuation of the 1.5 dCi with 110 hp and the 1.6 dCi with 130 hp (this has already been tested by us – see here). In gasoline offerings, it is possible that there will be the insertion of a new 1.2 liter DIG-T engine with 115 hp and a hybrid variant.
