Until now, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been associated with (very) high fuel consumption and tremendous ability to progress across all terrain. However, one of these facets of you may be changing.
Daimler CEO Ola Källenius announced at the AMW Kongres event (held in Berlin) that the German brand is preparing to electrify its iconic jeep, the news being shared by Daimler's digital transformation director, Sascha Pallenberg , on your Twitter.
According to the tweet shared by Sascha Pallenberg, the CEO of Daimler not only confirmed that there will be an electric version of the G-Class but also hinted that discussions about the possible disappearance of the model are a thing of the past.

What to expect from the Mercedes-Benz G-Class electric?

Don't you want to wait?
Interestingly, it is now possible to have an electric Geländewagen. An Austrian company, Kreisel Electric, is already working on electrifying the German jeep. In this version, the G-Class has batteries with a capacity of 80 kWh, offering 300 km of autonomy.
Currently, if you want an electric G-Class this is the only option.
As for power, that is 360 kW (489 hp), a value that pushes the electric Class G up to 100 km/h in just 5.6s.
