Cold Start. Finally, SSC Tuatara is on the road

Anonim

After seven long years of development, the SSC Tuatara seems to be ready to start production. Proof of this are a series of videos released by SSC North America.

The first one, which we've already shown you, let us hear the twin-turbo V8 that, when powered by E85 ethanol, it is capable of delivering around 1770 hp, that is, 1300 kW or 1.3 MW.

The video we bring you today shows the American hypersport, candidate for the fastest production model in the world, on the road, proving that the model (whose production will be limited to just 100 units) is already very close to production.

Although short (the video is about 25 seconds) there is a detail that stands out: the absence of rear view mirrors.

Now, this could mean one of two things: either the car featured in the video is still a pre-production unit, or SSC North America may be planning to swap mirrors for cameras like Lexus and Audi did. In any case, we'll have to wait to find out when the first production model comes to light.
