Cold Start. The next Nissan Leaf is going to be a crossover. Why wait?

The Nissan Leaf, the Japanese brand's electric pioneer, was launched in 2010, gained a new generation in 2017 and has always adopted the configuration of a traditional hatchback with five doors.

Everything will change in the third generation, where it will take on the contours of a crossover, but the appeal of a more adventurous looking Leaf seems to be greater than we'd imagine.

This is what we can determine when we see this transformation over the first generation by the Japanese preparer ESB.

The larger wheels stand out from the outset — all-terrain tires with 17″ iron wheels from CLS — and the increased ground clearance (now a more significant 19 cm), being equipped with new springs that lift the car by 30 mm.

The SUV look is rounded off with matte black shields, a protective plate at the front and side extensions, plus a roof grill and an LED bar at the front.

Mechanically, there were no changes and considering the changes made, we can only speculate how much it affected the Leaf's autonomy.

The cost of this transformation, however, is quite affordable, with the set of parts costing 578 euros.
