The new Toyota Corolla marks the return of the historic name to our market — well, it never really departed, as the Sedan bodywork has always remained true to the name. But with the arrival of the 12th generation, the place that until now was occupied by Auris in hatchback (two volumes and five doors) and van bodyworks, belongs to Corolla again.
In this new generation of Toyota Corolla we find a new platform, the GA-C (derivation of the TNGA), new engines and a much more striking and expressive design.

3 bodywork, 3 engines, 6 equipment levels
As we have already mentioned, the new Toyota Corolla has three bodies: hatchback (HB), Touring Sports (van) and Sedan (four-door saloon). These are joined by three engines and, finally, the new Corolla offers six levels of equipment.In the chapter on engines, they are all gasoline, two of which are hybrids.:
- 1.2T — 116 hp; combined consumption 6.2-6.7 l/100 km; CO2 emissions 141-153 g/km
- 1.8 Hybrid — 122 hp; combined consumption 4.4-5.0 l/100 km; CO2 emissions 101-113 g/km
- 2.0 Hybrid — 180 hp; combined consumption 5.2-5.3 l/100 km; CO2 emissions 118-121 g/km
The hybrid engines are coupled to a CVT gearbox, while the 1.2T is associated with a six-speed manual gearbox.
If the HB and Touring Sports have access to all engines, the Sedan is only available with the 1.8 Hybrid engine.
Equipment
Active, Comfort, Comfort+Pack Sport, SQUARE Collection, Exclusive and Luxury are the equipment levels available on the new Toyota Corolla. As standard, it should be noted that all Corolla come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense, which adds a series of safety equipment, such as the updated Pre-Collision Safety System (PCS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) or the E-call emergency calling system.
The level Active it already has manual air conditioning (1.2T) or automatic bi-zone (Hybrid), 4.2″ TFT screen, button start (Hybrid), LED rear optics, light sensor and electric and heated mirrors.
The level comfort adds 16″ alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, Toyota Touch 2 infotainment system with 8″ touchscreen and rear camera.
on the level Comfort+Sport Pack , the wheels grow up to 17″ and the rear windows are darkened. It also features a rain sensor and fog lights, an electrochromatic mirror and self-retracting mirrors, and the TFT screen grows to 7″ (instrument panel).
THE SQUARE Collection stands out for the bi-tone bodywork with black roof and adds LED headlights, the interior with ambient light and also comes with Smart Entry & Start system.
on the level Exclusive we have added parking sensors and intelligent parking assistant (IPA); seats heated and partially covered in leather, with the driver's seat receiving electrically adjustable lumbar support; blind spot alert (BSM); and rear approach vehicle detection (RCTA).

Finally, at the highest level Luxury , the wheels grow up to 18″ and we get a panoramic roof. The seats are made of leather, the Toyota Touch 2 now features a navigation system, a head-up display, wireless charger and, in the case of Touring Sports, there is a movement sensor for opening the trunk.
Prices
The prices of the new Toyota Corolla that we disclose are free of legalization and transportation costs, starting at 21 299 euros for HB 1.2T Active and culminating in the 40 525 euros of Touring Sports 2.0 Hybrid Luxury.
