THE BMW just introduced the new M4 GT3 , which will make its competitive debut on June 26, in the fourth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS).

According to the Munich brand, the M4 GT3 began to be developed in early 2020 and has since completed over 14 000 km of tests on different circuits, including the Nürburgring itself.

After its debut in competition in June, the M4 GT3 will continue its development until the start of deliveries to private customers, in time for the start of the 2022 season.

Compared to the predecessor model, the M6 ​​GT3, this new M4 GT3 is more powerful and promises to be more efficient and easier to drive. According to BMW, cockpit driving and equipment are more comfortable for amateur drivers and the car handles tires much better.

In addition to this, the German brand also reveals that operating costs are lower and maintenance intervals for the engine and transmission are longer.

Fueling this track “monster” is a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine (twin turbo) that produces nearly 600 hp (598 hp) and comes with a six-speed Xtrac gearbox that delivers the torque. exclusively for the rear wheels.

Remember that the BMW M6 GT3 was “animated” by a 4.4 liters V8 that produced 580 hp.

“Development work on the BWM M4 GT3 is now in the final stretch and the Nürburgring 24 Hours race is the perfect step to introduce the car already in the BMW M Motorsport design,” said Markus Flasch, BMW M Executive Director, which also addressed the relationship between this M4 GT3 and the road M4 Competition.
