The absence of sound (and of the emotions motivated by it) is a recurrent criticism, especially by enthusiasts, whenever talking about electric models and the Tesla Model 3 Performance is no exception.
Even with impressive numbers, such as 450 hp and 639 Nm, and a time from 0 to 100 km/h of 3.4s, there is a faction of petrolheads that are not convinced by the qualities of the Model 3 Performance.
Especially the sonic qualities… How can a Tesla Model 3 Performance really be a sports car if it doesn't advertise itself through the sound of a six or an eight cylinder, like its rivals?
Now, to solve this “problem”, the British tuning company Milltek Sport created a kit that gives “voice” to the Model 3 Performance and manages to make it sound like a supercar, as if under the bonnet inhabited a… V12!
How it works?
Known as a sound generator kit, this system doesn't just “pipe” synthesized sound through the Tesla Model 3 Performance speakers.

To ensure that the sound generated is equally impressive on the outside, Milltek Sport technicians installed metal sound generators underneath the Model 3 Performance's body.
These are controlled through an app and as you can see from the videos we leave you in this article, the end result is very convincing.
For now, only a few sounds are available, however, Milltek Sport is working on new, non-mechanical sounds — how about a Model 3 sounding like a Star Wars Tie Fighter?
