THE BMW it wants to bring its electric range closer to the conventional range, and for that it is already preparing a new generation of models. one of them is the future i4 , which the brand's design director, Adrian van Hooydonk, defined as “a model i but close to a car whose name can start with a 4” in reference to the link between the future i4 and 4 Series Gran Coupé.

THE i4 , which will likely derive from the BMW i Vision Dynamics concept, will be produced in Munich and it is part of the electric offensive that the Bavarian brand is starting. When it is released on 2021 the new model will take the place between the i3 and the i8 in the BMW range of electrics.

Meanwhile, the brand is also preparing the launch of two electric crossovers, the BMW iX3 and the iNEXT. The first is expected to arrive in 2020 and the second should be released in 2021 along with the i4.

Bringing the design closer to the rest of the range

BMW's aim for the new electric models is that they approach the rest of the range in aesthetic terms. This idea was put forward by the brand's design director, who when asked about the possibility of future models moving away from the futuristic design used in the i3 and i8 stated that "the vehicles are getting closer to the cars we already have on the market".
