BMW released prices for the new 5 Series Touring for the domestic market, anticipating the arrival of the model next month.
Officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the new BMW 5 Series Touring stands out from the saloon for its versatility. It is obviously distinguished by the rear volume. It allows a luggage capacity of 570 liters – 1700 with the folding seats -, and the opening and closing of the tailgate can be done automatically (hands free).
Like the saloon, BMW's executive van is also based on the new CLAR platform, which uses materials such as aluminum and magnesium. The benefits are obvious: weight reduction close to 100 kg, stiffer structure, helping to contribute to emissions below 11%.

As for the engines, the Series 5 Touring (G31) initially has four available:
- 530i – 2.0 liters – four cylinders – turbo – 252 hp and 350 Nm
- 540i – 3.0 liters – six cylinders – turbo – 340 hp and 450 Nm
- 520d – 2.0 liters – four cylinders – turbo – 190 hp and 400 Nm
- 530d – 3.0 liters – six cylinders – turbo – 265 hp and 620 Nm
Similar to the 5 Series saloon, Touring stands out in assistance and connectivity systems, highlighting voice commands and gestures (voice command and gesture control), BMW Connected Drive and a Remote Control Parking function.
