After the X3, the BMW iX3 was also renewed. What has changed?

About two months after the X3 and X4, it was the turn of the electric BMW iX3 to be renovated, with its revelation to the public scheduled for the Munich Motor Show, which takes place between 7 and 12 September.

In terms of aesthetics, the one that stands out more, the iX3 saw the double kidney grow (similarly to what happened with the X3 and X4) and the LED headlights become slimmer (they can optionally use Laser technology).

In addition, the M Sport package, which brings details such as the sports diffuser, became standard; the LED taillights with 3D effect continue to be present and there is also the adoption of new 19” or 20” wheels (optional). Presents continue the details in blue that denounce the “electric diet” of the iX3.

Interior brings more news

Once inside, in addition to the adoption of revised coatings and materials (among which the sports seats upholstered in “Sensatec” perforated leather and the “Aluminium Rhombicle” finishes stand out), the BMW iX3's main innovations are technological reinforcement.

The digital instrument panel (the BMW Live Cockpit Professional) offered as standard saw its screen grow to 12.3”. To this is added a screen of the infotainment system also with 12.3”.

Also inside the BMW iX3, the control panel in the center console, which includes, among others, the controls for the infotainment system, the “gearbox” control or the handbrake control was also redesigned.

Finally, there is an area that has remained unchanged in this renovation: the cinematic chain. In this way, the iX3 continues to use an electric motor that delivers 210 kW (286 hp) and delivers 400 Nm to the rear wheels and is powered by an 80 kWh battery that can be charged up to 150 kW of power, which allows you to reset 100 km of autonomy in 10 minutes.
