Cold Start. BMW wants to be able to fill a glass… at the bottom

Anonim

The problems of those who have a BMW 7 Series or one Rolls-Royce they are not quite the same as those of “ordinary mortals”. Chances are, they have a chauffer to drive them, and if they want to drink something, like champagne, they just have to open the bar… inside the car. But how to fill the glass without wasting a drop?

To help these eager homeowners, the German manufacturer is trying to develop a system to fill a glass of champagne… from the bottom! All to prevent spills of the precious drink on the no less precious carpets of the BMW 7 Series and Rolls-Royce.

The solution should be based on the “Bottoms Up” system, which is already used in stadiums and bars all over the world and which allows beer to be served from the bottom of the glass. Just fit a special cup into a holder and it will fetch the drink from a reservoir (like a normal drink dispenser), filling it from the bottom. See here how the system BMW wants to replicate works, but in this case in a much less luxurious application.
