Do you think that the traffic lines at Ponte 25 de Abril, IC19 or VCI Arrábida-Freixo are hell? Think twice. In China, whenever the holidays are over, hundreds of kilometers are lined up to enter Beijing…

In China, it is customary to make a gazette from the 1st to the 7th of October to celebrate the founding of the People's Republic of China (in force for 66 years), when thousands of people take the opportunity to travel. It is one of the most important holidays for Chinese people.

The problem is the day of return… There are around 750 million people who enjoy this period of pause, so it is more or less half of the country's population that wants to return to their cities on the same day! In the images you can see thousands and thousands of people stuck in traffic for hours on end in an impasse that we are sure none of us wants to live with – at least in Portugal there is still that hopeful stop-and-go that makes us think “Is it this one? ”. It even seemed to us that poor drivers only average 5 meters/hour.

Next time you're stuck in a traffic jam, take a deep breath and remember these images. We promise they will help.
