BMW 1 Series saloon could be like this

Based on the Compact Sedan Concept, this preview opens the door to the design of the BMW 1 Series saloon.

This is a very possible look at the BMW 1 Series saloon in the eyes of X-Tomi Design. A future rival of the Mercedes CLA and the Audi A3 Sedan, with the “first executive” concept asserting itself as an interesting market.

For now it is known that the next generation of the 1 Series will make use of the new front-wheel drive platform from the BMW group, the UKL1. This decision, far from being peaceful among fans of the Bavarian brand, will allow, in more powerful versions, the availability of all-wheel drive xDrive. The engine range is also expected to remain faithful to that of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, with three-cylinder turbo engines, but also petrol and diesel four-cylinder engines.

In terms of aesthetics, the concept follows the latest models from the Munich brand: sculpted lines and the usually bold front. The silhouette is alluding to the Series 3 and the Series 4 Gran Coupé but, of course, minimized to scale.

BMW claims that it will only sell the 1 Series saloon in China, but given that Mercedes and Audi have expanded these versions to other markets, this may not be the case.
