With the end of OPC, it's up to the Opel Insignia GSI to be the maximum representative of the performance of the German brand. However, with “only” 260 hp extracted from a 2.0 l turbo, most hot hatch in the segment below surpass it both in terms of performance and in terms of number of horses.
Irsmscher now comes to the aid of Opel Insignia GSI owners, with a customization program that affects not only the look, but also the chassis and engine.
Let's start at the end, the engine, because, we have to admit, we were soon aware of the values that Irmscher announced: the power, according to the preparer, will rise from 260 hp to… 280 hp — is it just a simple reprogramming?
As for the chassis, Irmscher announces an approximation to the ground of about 30 mm , despite not specifying what was actually changed.

On the outside, the new 20″ wheels, called Heli Star, with five twisted arms, supported by another five black arms positioned further back, stand out. The customer can choose a different design for the wheels, also 20″, the Evo Star, or the smaller Turbo Star (18″).
At the front we see a typically Irmscher treatment, where the Opel grille gives way to another, which stands out for the absence of any symbol and can have two different finishes, in stainless steel or carbon fiber. This last material is also found in more elements at the front.
There are no pictures of the interior, but Irmscher has not forgotten it. The Opel Insignia GSI gets new stainless steel door sills with Irmscher inscription and new leather seat coverings. As is natural, from here on “the sky is the limit” in terms of personalization, whether in materials or colors for the interior, depending on tastes and also on the wallet of each one.
