Dodge Hellcat stolen from Richard Rawlings found

Anonim

Richard Rawlings , owner of Gas Monkey Garage, practically needs no introduction. The protagonist of the Fast N’ Loud program, however, like any of us, is not immune to the “friends of others”.

At the end of September last year, his Dodge Hellcat (2015), more precisely, the second Hellcat off the production line, was stolen from an underground car park.

A reward was offered, and there were even pictures of the thieves (thanks to surveillance cameras), but nothing of Hellcat in the months that followed…until now.

Thanks to a "repo man" - similar to a debt collector, hired by a debt collection company, recovers property on which the debt is owed - who noticed an abandoned Dodge Hellcat in the back of an industrial complex, which looked like the Hellcat missing from Rawlings.

As expected, as soon as he heard the news, Richard Rawlings went to the scene, a moment that was captured on video:

Confirmation that the Dodge Hellcat was his was soon assured after using the red key to unlock the doors — the Hellcats have two keys, one red and one black, with the red one giving access to all 717 hp of the 6.2 V8 Supercharged , while the black key limits the power to “just over” 500 hp.

Despite appearing to have been abandoned for a long time, it still had enough battery to open the car, but when he tried to start the engine, nothing was done… However, the car itself, despite being dirty and with some scratches and dents, seems to be, in Overall, in good condition.

In the meantime, the car has already returned home — as you can see below —, being at the Gas Monkey Garage premises, and to see it on the road again, all that's left is to deal with some issues with the insurance company, as they had paid him a fee. post-theft compensation.
