Aston Martin DB5 from James Bond in GoldenEye goes up for auction

Anonim

After being used in the film, Secret Agent 007's DB5 was used, like the Aston Martin DB7 that also appears in “GoldenEye”, in promoting the film. Ending up being auctioned in 2001 and sold by businessman Max Reid, for an amount close to 171 thousand euros.

However, as the auctioneer Bohams, responsible for re-auctioning the sports car, also recalls, the DB5 has not stopped increasing in value, having even become “the most valuable piece of Bond memorabilia ever put up for sale”.

Confirming this impression, the forecasts of the auction house, which indicate that the vehicle may reach an amount between 1.3 and 1.8 million euros . Which, if confirmed, means that this DB5 has doubled its value, when compared to the asking prices, in the classic market, by other Aston Martin DB5's from 1964, identical to that of the James Bond agent —between 684,000 and 798 thousand euros.
