The Lucid Air, a 1000 hp electric saloon that is still in the development stage, completed (apparently successfully) the first high-speed dynamic tests.
With just under a year to go before production, Lucid Air continues to rigorously adhere to its development program. After the winter testing phase in the negative temperatures of Minnesota, it was time for circuit tests.Lucid Motors is a start-up headquartered in Silicon Valley, Calif., which plans to bring Lucid Air to market as early as next year. The first copies will be offered at a price of around 160 thousand dollars.
The Lucid Motors team moved "from guns and luggage" to the Transportation Research Center in Ohio (USA), where the famous oval track with more than 12 kilometers in length is located. That's where Lucid Air was tested to the limit, and that limit was the 350 km/h , electronically limited:

According to Lucid Motor, the information gathered in this first high-speed dynamic test will allow for some upgrades in the car and, consequently, improve performance even further.
Speaking of performance, the American brand announces a acceleration from 0 to 96 km/h in 2.5 seconds , precisely how long it takes the Tesla Model S P100D (in Ludicrous mode) to complete the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h.
Lucid Air is equipped with two electrical units, one on the rear axle and one on the front axle, for a 1000 hp total power . Both engines are powered by a 100 kWh or 130 kWh battery pack - the latter will allow a 643 km range in a single charge , according to the brand.
