The first deliveries to Portugal of the new generation of the SEAT Ibiza, a vital model for the Spanish brand, begin in June. In 33 years, the utility has sold more than 5.4 million units worldwide.
Orders have just opened for the 5th generation of the SEAT Ibiza. The new model, presented last month at the Geneva Motor Show, has undergone a complete renovation, far beyond that carried out on its older brother.
In addition to the aesthetic upgrade, the new Ibiza has more technology, connectivity systems and driving assistance. It also gained a significant increase in terms of interior space and comfort, thanks to the debut of the new MQB platform – which will also give rise to the new compact SUV from SEAT, the Arona.
New model arrives in Portugal in June
The new SEAT Ibiza is available in four equipment levels: Reference, Style, FR and XCellence . The top versions FR and XCellence will be offered at the same price, but offer different characteristics: FR for those looking for a sportier Ibiza and XCellence for those who favor comfort and elegance.
In the range of gasoline engines, the offer starts with the block 1.0 MPI of 75 hp , passing through the 3-cylinder unit 1.0 TSI with 95 hp or 115 hp . On another level, the four-cylinder engine is available 1.5 TSI with 150 horsepower , prepared to consume compressed natural gas (CNG).

Regarding the Diesel offer, the 1.6 TDI is available with 95 and 115 horsepower , with the 95 horsepower versions receiving a 5-speed manual gearbox and above that power the 6-speed gearbox. A 6-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission is available as an option.Production of the new SEAT Ibiza at the Martorell factory began at the end of January, which means that the new model will hit the domestic market from June.
