It was born as a Kadett 1.6, but underneath the bodywork now resides the C20LET, the 2.0 Turbo of the Opel Calibra Turbo, as well as its manual gearbox and its all-wheel drive system — all beefed up to handle six times the power of the German coupe's original 204 hp.
Fast? No doubt. Despite all-wheel drive, the difficulty is clear in getting all the horses on asphalt. It's 4.0s up to 100 km/h, but it only needs 3.7s from 100 to 200 km/h , and from 200 to 300 km/h, no more than 6.3s. Figures obtained in the 800 m starting test that you can see in the video — having reached almost 315 km/h (!). The title of Germany's fastest four-cylinder car does not seem out of place.
