Cold Start. Do you know the best kept "secret" of Porsche wheels?

Forgotten by many, it seems that the rim centers are extremely important for some brands. After we told you last week that MINI is going to go Rolls-Royce and offer fixed wheel centers, today we discover that Porsche has its own way of aligning its wheel centers.

According to a colleague of ours at Jalopnik, it seems that Porsches always leave the brand's premises with the centers of the wheels with the lower part of the logo pointing to the safety nut of the wheels, which in turn is aligned with the tire air valve.

If there is no locknut on the rims, Porsche rules dictate that the underside of the brand's coat of arms is then lined up with the tire air valve, most of the time between two rim nuts.

And if you're wondering how our colleague at Jalopnik discovered this, the answer is simple: in an introduction to the new Taycan, it decided to move the center of the rims to align it in a photograph, and was quickly “reprimanded” by an employee of the brand and then elucidated of all this tradition whose causes are unknown.

There is no lack of examples of Porsche's "obsession" with wheel centers.
