Once one of the most desired formats in the automobile market, for some years now, people carriers have been losing space (and representatives) as SUVs are adding successes.
Still, there are still some tough ones and two of them are the newly renovated Ford Galaxy and S-Max. After the disappearance of the B-Max, C-Max and Grand C-Max, Ford seems to want to say that it has not completely given up on MPVs and has renewed its last two representatives in the segment.
In terms of aesthetics, the changes were limited to the adoption of a renewed front (which does not hide a welcome approach to the rest of the Ford range) and new 18” wheels.
Inside, there are the biggest news
While novelties are scarce abroad, the same is not true for the interior, where both the Galaxy and the S-Max now have technological and equipment reinforcement.

Thus, the two Ford minivans now have new front seats (tested and recommended by several… doctors) and improvements in terms of connectivity, starting to have (optionally) the FordPass Connect system.
Ford S-Max
This, in addition to turning the Galaxy and S-Max into a hotspot, allows you to use the FordPass app that lets you know the car's location, its status and even lock the doors from a distance. The application also has a Local Hazard Information function that informs the driver of road hazards using data from HERE technology.

One engine, three power levels
In mechanical terms, both the Galaxy and the S-Max come equipped with only one diesel engine, the 2.0 l EcoBlue in three power levels: 150 hp, 190 hp and 240 hp. Depending on the versions, it is associated with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic with front or all-wheel drive.
Although they are already available for order in Europe, it is still not known how much the renewed Galaxy and S-Max will cost in Portugal or when they will be available here.
