The Garage 54 YouTube channel has already got us used to some bizarre creations, but the one we're bringing you here promises to surpass them all: a Lada 1500 with 14 wheels!
Yes that's right. This creation comes to us from Russia, by the hands of the authors of feats as radical as a Fiat Uno with eight wheels or a steam Lada.
In total there are seven axles, one at the front and six at the rear, and 14 wheels. At the back, the system consists of a kind of pyramid with three layers with three wheels at the base, two at the second row and only one at the top, which is the only one that has a driving axle and sends the torque to the whole set.
As might be expected, this solution leaves this Lada with impressive ground clearance, which needed to be compensated for at the front, thanks to the use of a monstrous set of tyres.
The result is far from impressive, as this model has no suspension and reveals many traction problems, as the rear tires need to be in contact with each other at all times for torque transfer to take place. But the Russians at Garage 54 deserve points for their creativity and ingenuity, don't you think?
