Renovation. It is at this stage that SIVA — Sociedade de Importação de Veículos Automóveis, SA —, a company that since 1987 has been responsible for importing most of the Volkswagen Group's brands into Portugal: Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

A company that since 2019 has seen profound internal changes. Starting from the outset with the acquisition process by Porsche Holding Salzburg, the largest automotive distribution company in Europe, a 100% subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group.

A little over six months later, the changes within SIVA continue. Rodolfo Florit Schmid, former director of SEAT Portugal, is the new director of SIVA , a role she shares with Viktoria Kaufmann-Rieger — administrator of SIVA since the end of 2019.

In this shared leadership, Schmid succeeds Pedro Almeida, who resigned by personal decision.

Rodolfo Florit Schmid's path

Rodolfo Florit Schmid, worked for 20 years at SEAT and has been in charge of the Spanish brand's Portuguese subsidiary since 2016. His experience in the Volkswagen Group, through SEAT, and his knowledge of the Portuguese automobile market will have been factors that weighed in his choice for the administration of SIVA.

I take on this challenge with great enthusiasm and the ambition to contribute to the sustainable growth of all the brands we represent.
