Cold Start. A Ford Focus Speedster!? only in russia

Anonim

Perhaps it was the Ferrari Monza SP1/SP2 (2018) that sparked this renewed interest in barchettas or speedsters. Since then we've known the McLaren Elva and the Aston Martin V12 Speedster. But one Ford Focus Speedster?

This is what Ford Market, a company headquartered in St. Petersburg, Russia, proposes — not only does the regular service to the brand's models, but also customizes them. And more personalized than that, transforming a familiar Focus into a sporty speedster doesn't exist.

Based on the Focus on sale, this Focus Speedster is from 2019. The transformation was radical: it has no doors, no roof or… windshield. Canopy? It doesn't seem to us. And now we drive 40cm further back than in the original Focus.

We don't know which engine powers the Focus Speedster, but the suspension is now pneumatic, to ensure the right pose when it's displayed, and the ground clearance needed when it's driven. The quality of execution of the transformation appears to be high — if we had been told that Ford itself had designed this Speedster as a concept, we would have believed it.
