Introduced about nine months ago, the renewed Hyundai i30 N is finally available in Portugal.
With more than 25,000 units sold on European soil since it was launched in 2017, the i30 N now presents itself with a revised look and redoubled responsibilities.
In terms of aesthetics, the look of the most powerful i30 follows the style adopted by the other elements of the range, with emphasis on the new LED headlamps, the more muscular bumpers and, of course, the two larger tailpipes dimensions.
Inside, we now have N Light sports seats (2.2 kg lighter than standard seats) and a 10.25” screen for the infotainment system, which continues to be compatible with Apple systems. CarPlay and Android Auto.
New double clutch gearbox
But it is in the mechanics that this i30 N presents more novelties. The engine remains a 2.0 liter turbo four-cylinder with 250 hp and 353 Nm in the base version, exclusively associated with a six-speed manual gearbox.
But with the Performance Pack the power rises to 280 hp and 393 Nm (5 hp and 39 Nm more than its predecessor), with this i30 N being able to equip the same six-speed manual gearbox or, for the first time, a gearbox eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, the N DCT.
As has been the case until now, maximum torque is available between 1950 and 4600 rpm while maximum power is still achieved at 5200 rpm.
In terms of performance, in both cases the maximum speed is 250 km/h (electronically limited), and when equipped with the Performance Package, the renewed i30 N meets 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 .9s (0.2s less than in the past).
And the prices?
The Hyundai i30 N is available in our country with prices starting at 43 850 euros, and this is the price with a financing campaign.If they do not opt for financing from Hyundai, the price will start at 47 355 euros.
