THE Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition it is the first of four collection models born out of the new Heritage Design strategy.
This special version of the newly revealed Porsche 911 Targa is graced with style and design elements evoking the brand's past in the 50s and early 60s of the last century.
The Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition is now available for order, and is expected to arrive at Porsche Centers in the autumn of 2020. limited to only 992 units , in a reference to the current generation of the Porsche 911.
What changes?
On the outside, the highlights are the exclusive Cherry Metallic paintwork, the golden logos and the graphics depicting motor sport, in the shape of a spear, placed on the front mudguards.

There we also find details such as the Porsche Heritage plate (which recalls the presence on the Porsche 356 which was awarded for reaching 100,000 km), the Porsche crest from 1963, the 20”/21” Carrera Exclusive Design wheels and the classic calipers brake in black.
Inside, with a bicolor decoration, we find velvet on the seats and doors (as it was used in the 356 in the 50s), green lighting on the rev counter and chronometer and even a metal plate on the dashboard that shows the limited edition number .
According to Porsche, some of the interior elements present in this very special Porsche 911 Targa will be available for all 911 models as part of the Heritage Design Package.
And mechanics?
In mechanical terms, the Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition is the same as the Porsche 911 Targa 4S.
So, to liven it up we have a boxer engine of six cylinders, biturbo with 3.0 l and 450 hp that appears coupled to an eight-speed dual-clutch box. Numbers that allow reaching 304 km/h and reaching 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.6s.
The Porsche Heritage Design Strategy
As we explained to you, the Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition is part of the Porsche Heritage Design strategy.
According to Porsche, it aims to “reinterpret classic design elements”, with the “Style Porsche” design departments and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur reinterpreting the interiors of their most striking models — 356 and 911 — between the 50s and 80.
If you remember, the Heritage Design Package had already been anticipated by the 2019 911 Speedster. Now Porsche will produce a total of four special editions in limited series.
