BMW has just announced its official presence in the European Drift Masters championship and has already shown the “machines” it has prepared to “attack” the race: two BMW M4 Competitions “dressed” in the colors of Red Bull.
Elias Hountondji and Johannes Hountondji, known as Driftbrothers, will be responsible for putting these two "monsters" aside and played a very active role in their development.
Under the hood we find the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine as the M4 Competition, but here it comes with more than double the power: 1050 hp and 1300 Nm, as opposed to the 510 hp and 650 Nm of the standard car.
A new cooling circuit has been included with an additional radiator at the rear, which “breathes” through the roof mounted air intakes.
The aerodynamics also deserved all the attention, with this M4 Competition featuring an entirely new front, with an open double kidney grille, larger lower air intakes and a more pronounced diffuser.
The result is two “infernal machines” that will be ready to “burn rubber” on the 10th and 11th of July in Greinbach, Austria, the stage that will host the debut of these two BMW M4 Competitions.
